Walking, walking

Slept late both yesterday and today. Yesterday I woke at 11am, and pottered about the house until about early afternoon when I took a walk around the conservation area looking for potential houses to buy. Came to the conclusion that most of the big flats were in rough areas, and houses in nice areas are tiny – not a particular surprise!. Saw a house with a lot of solar panels and a wind/weathervane on top, which was a bit quirky for East London.
Today, church, then home for lunch and then out again on a walk around the local canals. Saw where the Royal Opera House has its workshops. Explains why I sometimes see ROH lorries on the Mile End Road as I’m going to the Tube. Saw an interesting bird with a short neck on the canal which I couldn’t identify.
